My little dancer

Taylor has really started to dance. More than just a couple head bobs to some background music. She is turning into a dancer! Her favorite music is definitely Raffi (circa the 1980s). She walks up to the stereo in the guest room and stands there pointing until we realize she's waiting to get on the dance floor! The second we hear the words "Rise and Shine"....she's twirling in circles, doing her hand dance (kind of like the grandma in the non-kid appropriate Don't be a Menace.. movie), partaking in the head shake (ala Night at the Roxbury) or even backing that booty up! I swear i'm not trying to teach her how to dance how they did on MTV's the Grind. Her versions are much cuter and appropriate than anything we've seen on MTV or at Mike's old fraternity parties. :)

Baby Bugli 2.0

That's right, 2.0. V2. Baby #2. Little Brother or Little Sister!

On Thanksgiving morning, we found out we're expecting again! I had a hunch for a few days beforehand. I would wake up nauseous and know it was from any drinking I did the night before. The morning of Thanksgiving, after bowing down to the porcelain God, I just knew something was up. I found a prego test under the sink, took it, and didn't even have to wait 5 minutes for that 2nd line to appear. It was there within 30 seconds.

Needless to say, we have lots to give thanks for this year!

MINE

Taylor has figured out whose belongings are whose. One day, Mike put on my sunglasses as a joke. Taylor essentially was NOT having it, ripped them off of Mike's face, and handed them to me. I experiemented with Mike's hat. That didn't manage to stay long on my head, she knew who truly wears that hat!

She has started to figure out where all of our stuff is as well. She's always going into my closet and handing me my shoes (she does have a favorite, she's always going for my strappy heels, whatta girl). She's always digging into Mike's sock drawer as well and walking them over to daddy.

Taylor's first phrase! She asked when Mike picked her up from day care.

Speaking of what she's saying, she is saying a lot!

She'll lift her foot and say shoe.

The second she sees her Baby Bel snacks or string cheese, she's repeating cheeeezzzzeeee over and over.

She's obsessed with saying bye when someone leaves, more than ever before. It just comes after the person has left!

HiLo and BiLo

So, Taylor hears "Hi Love" and "Bye Love" constantly. From us and day care. She's taken to repeating this and saying this in lieu of the traditional "hi" and "Bye". The Taylor spin on it, though, is what makes my heart melt. Instead of Hi Love, she says "HILOOWWW". Instead of Bye Love, she says "byeoooo"

Its the cutest thing ever. What can you expect from the cutest kid ever.

Another fun salutation-related thing that Taylor does, is when she sees a picture of a car. When I leave for work, Mike and Taylor walk me out to say bye (or byeooo, of course). If Mike leaves earlier than I do, Tay and I walk him out to say bye.

Now, when Taylor sees a picture of a car, she ALWAYS says Byeooo and waves. Its darling.

World Series Champs!

GO GIANTS! They did it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Giants won the World Series, beat the Rangers and came out on top! What a great day to be a fan. to be from the Bay Area! Wahooooo!!!!

Taylor has been a Giants fan since before she was born....now they're World Series Champs. I think she is a little good luck charm! :)

Socal Road Trip

The three of us wanted to take a long weekend and drive somewhere. We decided we'll take scenic Hwy 1 along the coast and spend 3 nights in Santa Barbara. We'll go to the beach....we'll enjoy the sunny weather and we'll relax!

Well, the weather was awful, but we had a great time. We even cut the trip short since even worse weather was heading in and headed home for a little staycation at home (along with some Giants playoff action, booyah!)

Some highlights:

The drive down was gorgous. We stopped multiple times, watched the fog roll in, the waves when we could see them, did some rock climbing, watch some sea lions mate and fed some cows. All in all an eventful drive. We left at noon and arrived in SB at 8.

Day 1, we headed to Santa Barbara Zoo. Much different than SF Zoo that we've been too a lot. Taylor loved all the birds and the playground the most.

We spent the afternoon roaming State St, enjoying window shopping, some real shopping and froyo at Pinkberry. Taylor gave it two thumbs up! Dinner was at Santa Barbara Brewing Company, which was just OK.

The next day, we woke up, checked out the horrible weather and decided to head back. We stopped and spent a couple of hours in Solvang, the dutch capital of America (or California. Not sure, don't quote me. It was very dutch, windmills and all). Its such a cute town. We enjoyed an amazing breakfast and did more shopping (of course). I also had to pose with the resident cow.

Zee ball

Her favorite toy right now are the plastic balls we got her. We created a ball pit in her pack and play, and she loves to swim in them. If they're not in there, they are scattered across our little living room and she's constantly rolling them or throwing the around. She has been saying "ball" for some time; however, its not just Ball. Its Zee Ball. As in the ball. She makes such a statement anytime she says the word.

Laundry time can be fun too! Nothing like basket rides around the living room.

I even had some help! I guess if you call taking out everything I fold and throwing it around the room help! Most fun I had doing laundry, even if it took twice as long. :)

 
 

Watching Mike mow the lawn. She loves watching us do chores. Whether its watching us make food, or watching me vacuum, Taylor always has front row seats. I hope she is taking notes! :P
