These are a few of my favorite things..Sabrina Edition

When Sabrina falls asleep in my arms
When she smiles while i'm nursing her
When Sabrina tracks Taylor and watches her intently (please don't learn how to pinch, that's just a phase!)
The smell of night time lotion
Sabrina's smiles
Mornings in bed watching Little Einsteins
When Sabrina grabs Mike's hair

Sisters

Taylor calls Sabrina, Mina. Mina this. Mina that. It melts my heart. All the kids at day care now call her Mina. I don't have the heart to correct it, its just so cute. When she looks at Mina or talks about Mina, her voice gets two or 3 octaves higher and is sweeter than candy. While there's the natural jealousy (a little extreme of a term)of the attention that Sabrina-Mina gets, she loves her so much and I can't get enough of it!

Taylor's Favorites

Color - Well, she says blue and pink a lot
Animal - Gobble Gobble
Show - Little Einsteins
Movie - Neno (aka Finding Nemo). Runner up is Rio.
Pattern - Yes, she has a favorite pattern. She's obsessed with polka dots
Music - LMFAO. Yes, she has a think for party rock
Dance - My girl can fist pump better than the Situation and can raise the roof better than, well, whoever still raises the roof

34.5 Weeks along...

Weight gain: 32 lbs

Stretch marks: None so far, knock on wood

Movement: More than ever, she is wild!...and mostly when Taylor is already asleep. Its like this baby knows when she is around.

Cravings: Fruit. Sea Salt Breadsticks.

Sleep: Only 1 wake up every night. Thank you bladder.

Best moment this week: Knowing that I only have 9 days of work left. Nursery furniture arriving.

Gender: Girl. Still working on a name...thinking it might be Sabrina, but we will see.

Labor signs: Just the usual braxton hicks..

What I miss: Being nimble. Being able to comfortably cuddle with Taylor. Being able to move around comfortable.

What I'm looking forward to: Finishing up the nursery. Maternity leave to officially begin! I'm getting almost 4 weeks off before the due date.

Weekly wisdom: Nothing groundshattering. I'm getting used to the idea that Taylor isn't going to be an only child and its going to be alright.

Milestones: My belly button is officially an outie.

30.5 weeks down!

Weight gain: About 30 lbs.
Stretch marks: None, yay!
Movement: Yes, she's more of a mover than ever
Cravings: McD's french fries and salad...still.
Sleep: Getting better!
Best moment this week: When Taylor points at the belly and says baby...and gives it kisses. LOVE. Bonus: Worst moment was finding out I had strep...again! Booo! Double bonus: We did our 4D ultra sound 2 weeks ago and she's going to be another cutie! Long fingers and toes, already had a lot of hair, she's going to be tall. Measuring 16" so far, 3.26 lbs, also expected to arrive a few days early (which I guessed)
Gender: Girl.
Labor signs: Nada
What I miss: Being more nimble. I miss comfortably carrying Taylor around, and she loves being held/carried.
What I'm looking forward to: Start getting stuff done around the house!! Need to really get on that.
Weekly wisdom: Don't allow yourself to be surrounded by negativity, even if it comes from someone close.
Milestones: Just hit 30 weeks. Can't believe we only have 10 weeks to go!

Taylor's first Giant's Game!

Due to unexpected change of plans, our date night to a Giants game turned into a family trip.

We were SO nervous about taking Taylor, thinking....she's too young, too hyper and its going to be too late to actually enjoy it. We thought she wouldn't sit still, make it an anxious experience and we'd leave after one inning.

Well, we were wrong! She did great! We had wonderful seats (thank you cousin Idin)...she enjoyed watching the game and people watching. We even had Lou Seal and other mascots standing nearby that peaked her interest as well. Everytime we'd say "Goooo Giants!" she would say "Goooo Budgies!" (not sure why she said budgies as that's her work for butterflies. Our girl, such a funny one.

Bringing her lots of treats and a couple of little walks really helped.

We can't wait to take her to another game!

New weekend ritual - Oak Meadow Park

I practically grew up at this park and it is so cool that I get to live close enough to take my kiddo there too!

For the last 3 weeks, i've taken Taylor to Oak Meadow park. We've ridden the carousel (she's no longer afraid of sitting on the horses and demands I sit on the horse next to her) and gone on the Billy Jones Wildcat Railroad every single time. She looooves it. She calls out to the ducks (in her words, Kaakaa) every time we pass them. They're actually geese, but its just too cute to correct her. I hadn't been on that train since I was probably 10 years old so i'm glad we get to share the experience.

She loves the playground there and loves dancing on the stage. So fun!

Pregnancy Check in - 25 weeks!

Yikes! Its going by way too fast and while you're never ready, we're really not ready for baby bugli 2.0. There is so much to do with the house and the nursery and well, everything else, that we need 25 more weeks!

Here are the updates:

Weight gain: 17 lbs minimum. That was as of 2 weeks ago. I had McDonalds for lunch today so definitely more than 17 lbs. :)
Stretch marks: None. Knocking on wood
Movements: Baby moves, but ONLY when Taylor is asleep. I think she might be scared of Taylor already. This one isn't as much of a mover, but I do get to feel the kicks. Plus, i'm busier than when I was pregnant with Taylor so I don't notice as much.
Cravings: Salads. Lots of salads. McDonalds Frys. Cheese...monterey jack cheese. Noms.
Sleep: I get it, just not enough of it.
Best moment this week: I think Taylor is understanding there's a baby in the belly. She brought her baby doll and put it under my shirt. Might be a stretch, but you never know.
Gender: Team pink. We have a name list, but that's about it. Aubrey, Sabrina, Kendall...we haven't really talked about it much the last couple of weeks.
Labor signs: To be honest, I had some bad gas pains last night that reminded me of when I first went into labor with Taylor.
Belly button: Innie
What I miss: Cat-like agility. Pregnancy makes me clumsy. Alcohol. I cannot wait for a few beers
What I'm looking forward to: Starting on the nursery...and MATERNITY LEAVE!
Weekly wisdom: Bathing suits and pregnancy suck together.
Milestones: Baby is the size of an eggplant.

Mau

She LOVES Mickey Mouse. She calls him Mau. When Mickey Mouse Clubhouse comes on, she stops in her tracks and looks for the big ol' ears. I cannot wait to take her to Disneyland (hint hint Mike).

My favorite Mau related activity is when i'm sitting in the middle of the living room and she hands me Mau. I have to sing the the theme song for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse over and over and over and over and over and over again...all while she runs laps around me. Its so cute. She's giggling and trying to make eye contact with me the entire time (watch out for the chair, Tay!)What a love bug

Wipes

With all the cool toys that Taylor has, her biggest thing these days is to play with her wipes. She has to have at least 1-2 new ones at every diaper change.

She throws them up in the air like they are little dance props. She wipes her hands before giving me high fives. She puts them over her face thinking she's hiding from us.

Needless to say, we're going through these a lot quicker than before

Swim Class

We just recently signed Taylor up for Swim lessons at AVAC. 12 sessions, every Monday after work/day care. I thought my little fish would just love it. She loved being in the lake when we went up to Lake Shasta. She loves bathtime, and she loves puddle jumping. She won't even allow a handwashing session run under 10 minutes these days. She just loves water!

Or so we thought.

She wanted to be the fish out of the water during her first class.

We get to the place, I get her in her swim gear (much cuter swim suit than me, might I say) and she's super interested in the pool. Pointing at things, smiling, so on and so on.

Well the second we're about a foot away from the side of the pool and she senses i'm about to get her in there, she freaked. FURRREAAAKKKEED. I managed to get her in there, but she clung on to me like a starfish glued to an underwater rock. Or something clever like that. I never got so many cuddles in my left. Biggest hugs ever. But all because she hated being in there. I could barely get her facing forward to see what the other kids were up to. She just wanted her momma. We did our best to play in the water and get used it it all, but it was a total FAIL. Her teacher was super patient and one of the other moms came up to me with some reassuring words for the next upcoming classes. My friends reassured me that its normal and that their kids went through 6 weeks of crying/balling through entire swim sessions before they seemed to start enjoying it.

Today was the second class and she still hates it. Hates it a teeny tiny amount less, but still hates it. She just wanted to cry, hold on to me and nom on my shoulder. I did manage to face her forward a little bit (not like she didn't cry, but she let go of her death grip), and she even let the teacher, Ksenia, do the good bye song with her. (She holds her and "swims" in a circle while we sang a song to her). Next week can only get better. Right?

She did it!

She went potty IN the potty!

My mom was watching her today and apparently she say Taylor making the usual faces when she poops. So, she asked her if she wanted to use the potty. She sat down, 5 minutes later, got up. Low and behold, she went #1 & #2 in the potty! My mom thought she was just sitting there, but nope, she was taking care of business! I didn't think that would happen for 4-5 more months, but apparently, 1 day shy of her 21st month birthday, she used the facilities!

Big girl.....

What I like about this blogging thing.

I get a random cool thought and just want to tell someone. But don't feel like calling anyone, or walking to someone's desk, or waking anyone up.

I just saw a picture of a 3 year old meeting their baby newborn sister for the first time. I can't WAIT for Taylor to meet little sister.

How exciting will that be!

Oh, and I have the oddest prego cravings lately. I just emailed Mike telling him that I want ice cream, pancakes, cheese and bacon for dinner....and skip my nightly salad. Hmmmmmmmm
Nom Nom Nom

.
.
.
.

But doesn't all of that sound so good?

Movin' and a shakin'

Baby is starting to move around a bit. I really only notice the movements at night, and I wouldn't exactly classify them as kicks...more like taps. First movement was about 2 weeks ago (so, let's just go with Valentines Day) :)

Mike finally felt movements over the weekend, on the 26th. Yay!

Its all starting to feel more real! :)

House Update

So, we're almost at our 2 year anniversary of moving into our home.

We've had a list of projects that we wanted to complete to the house:
1. Air conditioning - CHECK!
2. New garage door - CHECK!
3. Paint some walls
4. New curtains throughout - CHECK!
5. New carpet - CHECK!
6. Landscaping!
7. New kitchen
8. New decor

Well..

We've pretty much knocked a couple of those off our list since the beginning of 2011!

Landscaping:
-We moved in here and the lawn was dead, ugly, ew ew ew. The paving in the backyard was more like a collage of various concrete. Blech. Not pretty, not safe, no bueno. We are about 90% complete with the new project. We have new paving in the backyard and side of the house (stamped concrete). It looks amazing! We have new irrigation and sod in both front and back. We have real grass! Grass you can run on. Without ditches to sprain your ankle in. Its BEAUTIFUL!

Master bedroom:
-We moved in with brown walls and brown curtains. How...well, brown! So, I saw an inspirational master bedroom on a decorating blog that I frequent and decided that we should make are master less poopy and more of a sanctuary! The walls went from brown to Carolina Club Inn Aqua (light blue/green/gray) and the curtains are going from brown to an avocado green! We also got new linens and also planning on adding some cooler lighting and pictures....and hopefully a new TV! The room is not finished yet, but we're about 70% there! Can't wait!

Pregnancy Check in

How Preggers: 19 weeks 4 days

Weight gain: I was wrong with my last prego check in (I'll admit, it was a guestimate). I have gained only 7 lbs since being 7 weeks prego. At this point during my Taylor pregnancy, I had gained 16 lbs. So....not giving into those cravings as much! Plus, the morning sickness was worse this time around and Taylor provides some great exercise.

Stretch marks: NONE!

Movement: She's moving in there and I can tell. I don't think they're full on kicks, but I feel like she's poking my belly here and there. I have an anterior placenta so I don't feel movements as early..

Cravings: Same as the last check in: Salad, cucumbers, and burrito factory. Also Boursin cheese and crackers. Also, breakfast. For morning, lunch and dinner. I could give up any food for some pancakes and waffles!

Sleep: Sleeping better, that's for sure! I just wish that I can get myself to go to bed earlier!

Best moment this last week: Hearing the heartbeat again. ..and hearing the doctor describe it as perfect. :)

Gender: GIRL!

Labor signs: Nope.

Belly button situation: Still an innie. ...and making me wish I never got a belly button piercing in my early 20s. Hoping this baby makes the scar fade!

What I miss: Beer, sushi, my waistline. Most of all, i'm worried about missing my one on one time with Taylor. I was looking at a lot of pictures of taylor, and we had so much fun as a family of 3. Plus, us girls always had fun adventures. I am honestly feeling anxiety of not giving her enough attention and one on one time.

What I am looking forward to: Everything!....decorating the nursery, seeing what this little one looks like, and seeing Taylor as a big sister.

Weekly wisdom: Taylor will be a great big sister, just will take some time to adjust to the idea. :)

Milestones: Baby is the size of a heirloom tomato

"18 month" stats

So, Taylor was a little late for her 18 month check in. The 3 vaccinations were horrible for her. I hate seeing her so unhappy. Snuggles with us (and some Jamba Juice after the appt) made everything better though.

So, here are her stats:

Weight: 26 lbs 12 oz (50-75 percentile)
Height: 34 in (90 percentile)

Tall kid!

The Pedi encouraged moving her to a toddler bed (or put a tent on the crib)
..and to start potty training.

This girl is growing WAY TOO FAST!

Random new Taylor time

Taylor can pretty much identify all her body parts. If you ask her where her nose is, or eyes, or toes, or belly, etc. She can point them out. My favorite is when you ask her where her hands are. She puts them up and waves them, which is just adorable.

Also, just this morning, completely randomly, she will put her finger up to her face and say shhhhhhh. I wasn't even talking her ear off, but I think its something new she learned at day care. Putting it in writing makes it sound so silly. But, seeing her do these cute things just melts my heart :)

Pregnancy Check In

How Preggers: 17 weeks 3 days

Weight gain: About 10 lbs, which is about 5 lbs less than this point with Taylor

Stretch marks: NONE!

Movement: I could have sworn I have felt those flutters all weeks but I'm pretty sure it's just gas. Pregnancy does weird things to your digestive track. Just sayin'.

Cravings: To not be nauseated every moment of the day. Salad. Cucumbers (just like with Taylor). Burrito Factory (just like with Taylor).

Sleep: Would be nice to sleep through the night. 3am knows me well. I just hope this doesn't rub off on the baby girl in the belly

Best moment this last week: Finding out we're having a girl!...and feeling the kicks.

Gender: GIRL! Mike will officially be outnumbered...unless of course you count the cats

Labor signs: Nope.

Belly button situation: In and all normal and cute still. Just wait.

What I miss: Beer (especially since it was Superbowl Sunday yesterday). My waistline.

What I am looking forward to: Everything!

Weekly wisdom: If I go to bed earlier, perhaps this baby will sleep better once born? With Taylor, I was asleep by 9pm every night, and now, she's a champion sleeper. If this 11pm bedtime for me continues, what kind of sleeper will I have on my hands! That realization got me running to bed last week!

Milestones: Baby is the size of an onion

Superbowl Sunday

We had our 2nd annual Superbowl party at Casa de Bugli.

The kids had a great time (Dominic, Eme and Taylor). I love seeing Taylor with other kids. She was quite the host.

Some of the guys had gone golfing before, so the beer was flowing and so were everyone's spirits.

The betting grid was successful...but not for us. I love me a good bet, but man, would've been nice to get a solid ROI. I think the time with friends more than made up for it!

Oakland Zoo

It has been way too long since we hung out with our Sacramento family. We got together with Susie, Lauri and Grandma. The cousins too (Alyssa, Jalen, Adam and Lindsey), of course, on Saturday. We had SUCH beautiful weather in the bay area, especially for February. Plus, we were all healthy and missing our family A LOT! So, last minute meet up at the Oak Zoo, was PERFECT! What a fun-tabulous day!

I have to say, its really hard living far away from them. We love the bay area, but I love seeing family more. ..and I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing Taylor with her cousins. She loves them, and they totally love her.

Knocking on Wood

January has been an interesting month. We thought it was going to be a month of lots of outings, lots of fun stories, and lots of pictures of those outings. Mike had lots of vacation time, he had weekends off, California was experiencing wonderful weather..could it be the most fun month of the year?

Well, Taylor got sick, then I got sick, then Mike got sick....then the 3 of us had strep, Taylor had an infection, Mike had a toothache and I had a month long headache. Gooooood times!

Dare I say, as I knock profusely on wood, that we're all feeling better? No sickies, no coughs, no snot, only a minor headache and a solution to the toothache? Saturday,we started feeling a whole lot better!...just in time for rain. Needless to say, we are enjoying this feeling and hope it sticks!!! :)

Again *knocking on wood*

Hanging with the kitties

Taylor is definitely BFFs with Gray Cat. There is a one sided relationship between her and Bailey, but she tries, nonetheless.

She LOVES to be in the cats' domain, in their face AND on their climber.

Her names for them...Gay Cat and Bayee.

Some of Taylor's favorite songs and videos

We're not the biggest fans of Tay watching too much TV. That's where YouTube comes into play! (hire me google) We find fun little videos for her to watch..from Yo Gabba Gabba to Sesame Street to Nat Geo! Here are some of her favorites!

Sesame Street Crew featuring Will.I.Am from Black Eyed Peas (a favorite for us too!)

(This is on maybe 2x a day. She calls points at her favorite butterflies and gets so giddy!) BTW, she calls them Buddies. Adorable overload!

We have a Bieber Baby on our hands!

A little miss someone has Bieber fever! How? I don't know. Her favorite thing is her baby doll. She loves saying baby, feeding her baby, rocking her baby, dancing with her baby, putting her baby down for a nap. Adorbz! Anyhow, her new thing is singing along to Justin Bieber!

Her lyrics: "Baby, Baby, Baby, OOOOH"...and repeat. She wakes up singing this. Its so cute.

Her love for Baby is coming at a great time, being that BABY Bugli 2.0 will arrive in 175 days!
