My cousin's daughter.
Taylor is obsessed. She talks about Ava all the time. Anytime we see her, we hear about her for days afterward.
Me: Taylor, its time for Anna's
Taylor: No, let's go to Ava
Me: Time for dinner
Taylor: Eat with Ava
Me: Ice cream?
Taylor: Ava
(ok, I made the last one up, no one says no to ice cream).
It is really fun watching the two together. Ava is 7 years old and loves Taylor. She shows her toys. Gets her to laugh. Walks her around whichever house we're in. She looks out for her as much as Taylor looks up to Ava. She's really protective over her too. If there are other kids around, Ava makes sure they all know to be nice and watch out for her little cousin, Taylor! Its such a sweet relationship.

Go 9ers!
After too many years, the SF 49ers made it to the playoffs. We have been really fired up at home because they are having a great season and well, we are 49er fans!
We had the Grotzs over and it was a great time. Taylor and Chloe played a lot together while Sabrina just soaked up the night being held by one person or another. They kept repeating calls the refs would make or scream out "Gooo 9ers!" They would dance and cheer for our home team. It was a lot fun.
At one point, Taylor and Chloe sat down for snacks and Taylor did such a good job making sure Chloe didn't hit her head on the kitchen counter. "Chloe. No hit head here [taps on counter]. You hit your head and get owie". Our girl is growing up!
She also hit her head on the counter within 5 minutes. Go fig.
When the 9ers lost, everyone was bummed. Mike was pissed. All rightfully so. Taylor runs in and screams out "go 9eeeerrrrs!"...she makes it all better. Talk about spirit!

Sabrina's Excitment
I love how happy Sabrina is. She's always happy, chipper, content, smiley, laughing, etc. What a positive ray of light she is! Do'nt get me wrong, Taylor is a happy pappy girl, but she's got a fire to her while Sabrina has this sense of calm. They're very different, but also very similar.
Anytime Sabrina gets somthing that makes her happy. Whether its a toy, or it is a smile from mommy or daddy, she gets so filled with happiness she starts doing an arm-dance. She starts to wave her arms like a bird and hits her sides with them. Its hard to explain, but if she ever does that, you know her world can't get much brighter at that very moment. :)

A House Full of Colds
During the past month, we've all been sick at least once. I'm on my 3rd bout with this silly cold.
This last weekend, Mike, Sabrina and myself were the victims. Being sick is bad. Seeing any of your children sick is worse. What's worse of all!? When the only person in your family four pack who is healthy is your rambuncious, endless-source-of-energy 2.5 year old!
Taylor has all the energy in the world. and then some. ...and here we are sick as dogs, trying to care for a sick infant. All while entertaining/reeling in/catching up with Taylor. This weekend was an interesting one!

Talkative Taylor from this weekend
No Mommy. No cookies for you Mommy.
Mommy ate all the cookies!
Grandpa left and when he goes home he says hi to Alice. (ok not all 100% coherent, but she said that).

The wonder in her eyes
When she sees Christmas lights
When you show her something that, to you, may be so basic/boring/etc, but to Taylor, its magical
When Taylor fingerprints. My hands are doing that!
When Taylor sees fireworks. I can't believe I used to not care about these, she sees them and its like they were there just for her!
The look when she sees the Christmas tree on Christmas morning
When she does something that makes Mina smile
When Sabrina accidentally touches Taylor showing us how proud Taylor is when even Sabrina does the littlest of things
The look on Sabrina's face anytime she sees Bailey.
Sabrina's eyes the first time she petted Grey Cat

Christmas Lights
We drove around every day for an entire month looking at Christmas lights. Mostly on our way home from day care. sometimes when I was too tired to entertain them, I would put them in the car and drive around.
Taylor LOVED it. Sabrina napped. Both were good things.
Taylor would say over and over "oooooooooooooooooh, liiiiiiiiiiiiiights, prettttttty"
There was one house about a block away from ours that had every inch of their front lawn and porch decked out. I'm talking timed to music. Everything. We would walk to their house so many times and she would just stand there dancing to the Xmas songs while Sabrina and I watched along with a smile.
